Job Offer: IT savvy SCM Consultant

As a Consultant, you will work in a team environment at our Santa Clara location and at customer sites where you implement and support ICON’s solutions. We are looking for an individual who has a solid IT and/or business consulting background.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of supply chain management processes like Sales and Operations Planning, Liability Risk Management, MRP, Execution and Supply Chain Visibility
• Good understanding of collaboration processes including VMI/SMI
• Good interpersonal skills to interface with co-workers and customers
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• UNIX/Linux experience; Shell scripting. Python knowledge is a plus. Server administration not required
• Very good knowledge of at least one of the following databases ORACLE, MS SQL server, IBM DB2. Oracle experience is preferred
• Basic JAVA knowledge
• Basic knowledge about Apache Tomcat. Knowledge about a JEE Application server a plus
• EAI experience and standard formats like EDIFact, SAP IDOC a plus
• Curiosity to learn and adapt new technologies
• Excellent analytical skills
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) in the US and  internationally
• Two to five years experience in Supply Chain Management consulting, project management, and on-site project experience required
